Centennial State

Every Summer we take a trip to Colorado so my dad can torture himself by participating in "THE TRIPLE BYPASS".  He pretty much rides a bike all day for 120 miles in extreme weather conditions over three major mountain passes...not exactly what I would call a good time.  But I mean, to each his own, right?
This year, Sarah, was able to come with us on our vacation, which automatically made it uber duber special and already a memorable time.  With a 12 hour car ride in front of us, we prepared accordingly by packing every movie we owned, our body weight in fruit snacks and Cheez-its, and our cameras to snap the glorious views of the Centennial State!

We made a stop in Breckinridge, CO....ummm hello my future home.  It was so quaint with the many shops, buildings, and views.  This is their Starbucks! If only all of the Starbucks in Arizona looked like this!

Self explanatory.

The girls spent a day shopping at the outlet malls in Silverthorne!

We spent two nights in a condo in Avon....and it was adorable!

We had a little photo shoot.

I truly appreciate my mom's efforts to take jumping shots, but she can't snap a picture worth a darn.

I think I made my mom feel a little uncomfortable.

We spent MUCH of the vacation reading and listening to the mountain songs.

Dad and his brother, Kelly, survived the Triple Bypass!

Sarah and I walked around the condo premises and made some friends.

Boulder Ice Cream = HALLELUJAH...can I get an Amen?

Arizona parks got NOTHING on Colorado parks! These parks had the most inventive play things...well played, Colorado, well played.

Sarah strutting her stuff in Breckinridge!

Best. Breakfast. Ever. in Carbondale! Everything is organic and fresh.  My body thanks you The Village Smithy!

Stop at the Hole in the Rock! Do you see it?  Nah, me either.

We found our Frog Prince at the Farmer's Market in Grand Junction!
